Course Catalog: A1 Beginners

Beginner Level Summary
The Beginner level (A1 and A2) is divided into five steps (101 to 105 ), which are taught for twice or once a week for a total of 3 hours a week over 9 weeks for a total of 27 hours, unless otherwise specified.
It takes about a year and approximately 135 hours of classes to cover the complete level and to finish the study of the textbook Connexions 1.
At the end of the A1 level, you will be able to hold simple conversations, exchange some information about yourself and others, and talk about things that take place in the past and the future.
Additionally, we offer a False Beginner Workshop before each session for those who need a refresher before integrating 102.

Please note that 101 classes are exclusively reserved for complete beginners: the pace of the course is slower than level 102.
Level 102 is a good level to start with if you are a "false beginner", so please take a placement test in order not to be disappointed.

Beginner A2 class.Units 8-9. Students will learn to express obligation and possession, talk about vacations / countries / family/home. Describe a place, express intensity, speak about the future and the weather, use both forms of the passé composé, and future tense, indirect object pronouns, and other expressions, like IL FAUT, qui/que/où.
