Founded in Paris in 1883, Alliance Française is the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. There are 1,200 Alliance chapters established in 112 countries, including 140 chapters in the United States, serving 420,000 students. Alliance Française is dedicated to promoting French languages and cultures and fostering intellectual and artistic exchanges between the French-speaking world and local communities.
In Atlanta
Alliance Française d'Atlanta is an independent and non-profit organization, founded in 1912, serving the Atlanta community as the premier provider of French language and culture. With more than 1000 members served annually, it offers a variety of courses, social activities and cultural events. It has no political or religious affiliation and does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, creed, race, color and national or ethnic origin.
